After a week in New Orleans, I headed straight to Chicago for two weeks. It was mostly work and long runs along the lake without my camera (beautiful!), but I managed to get out and about one beautiful evening (60 degrees!) as well as a Saturday. I loved the diversity of the exhibits in the Art Institute (particularly the quilts), the lake, and the architecture. When folks told me to go to the bean, I was not expecting to really think but of it but it’s actually really cool! I also didn’t realize it was so “young,” created in the 2000s. The reflections are fun to play with, and it’s a great way to capture the beauty of the buildings around it. It was too early for a river tour, but I did go on an architecture walking tour. I can’t wait to go back sometime in the summer!
