New Zealand Part 2: Mt. Cook & the Hooker Valley trail

The second day of the trip led us to Mt. Cook and the hooker valley track. The hike was approximately 5.5 miles, an out and back along the river to the Hooker glacial lake, with views of Mt. Cook, the South Island’s tallest peak. I took  over 500 pictures (first day!) and ended up with so many I loved due to the varied scenery in such a short length. This was also an introduction to the fact that New Zealand loves its scary bridges across the rivers. Good thing I hate bridges! It was probably at this point I got super excited about the rest of the trip.
