So it turns out I have a minor bird obsession (see Birds! at Occoquan). They are fascinating to take photos of and can have quite a bit of personality. While scrolling through the Capital Photography Center class page, there was one at Constitution Gardens where apparently all the birds hang out in the winter. I am a bad DC-er, so I have to admit I had no idea where this was and was surprised to find it pretty much across the street from the reflection pond. I wasn’t interested in taking the class, but I added a Save the Date on the calendar for a create my own photo adventure trip. And then I did it! My friend met up with me and somehow I managed to take 1,000 photos in 2.5 hours. Sometimes I hate myself 🙂 I had fun with my new telephoto lens and just hanging out on a beautiful morning.
